OS inside a Browser – A Silverlight Site
Have you ever seen a Operating System inside a browser ? Have you ever seen a Internet Explorer inside a Firefox Browser ? Here we found a new silver light site [ www.windows4all.com ] , that implements the Online Virtual Vista operating system . It is made completely on Silverlight technology , integrating each component of an operating system.
This site is still in Alpha Stage , so we can expect some more enhancements. Here comes the screenshots of the site.

Here comes the funny part. In the below image you can see Internet Explorer [Like IE] inside a Firefox Browser !





















well, if you run Acid 3 you will see that it’s not IE running in Firefox, but the Firefox engine.
Still though, nice – but I rly don’t see any use in that app^^
It does sound like a cool idea to have a cloud OS, but the thing is, there are no uses for them. i would much rather have my OS and data stored all on my device instead of having it setup on one thing. I can understand if it was sort of like networking, but for my home usage, i wouldn’t prefer it. Eventually you’ll come to the point where you require a second computer and then an internet connection and then 128GB of RAM and then 1TB of RAM and so on…
