Cinematic Rock Band Follow Me Dark Take Listeners On A Psychedelic Journey In New EP “An Offering”

Hailing from the hills of Grass Valley, California, cinematic rock band Follow Me Dark deliver a captivating journey through cross-genre soundscapes on their debut EP “The Offering.”

Intended to lead listeners through dark recesses, howling excesses and soothing retreats, “The Offer” stuns with incisive lyrics and bold instrumentals that challenge the computerized music of 2022. Recognizing the rapidly changing music landscape mainstream, Follow Me Dark has channeled their creative influence and produced a product that appeals to fans of ’90s alternative rock, emo and early 2000s metal as well as old school new wave with touches of classic rock. Their modernized approach to a much-loved range of soundscapes will leave you asking the waves for more guitar.

“I emptied my mind, I cried my oath to the sun, Waiting for dusk to reveal all we’ve lost” ~ The Offering

Although each song stands out strongly, the EP feels like an organic fusion of creative inspirations. The group always puts the song first, which is reflected in their collaborative spirit. By allowing each member of the band to have a say in the songwriting process, their tracks deliver very appealing sounds, dipping their toes in nostalgia while still eagerly awaiting what’s to come. The first EP channels the influence of notable acts like Tool, Deftones and Rage Against the Machine. While tackling tough topics that have plagued our collective conscience for the past few years, the group deliver uplifting lyrics, encouraging fans to lean into spiritual practice and let go of negativity. Their dynamic approach reconnects listeners to timelessness; in a world where everything seems fleeting, bands like Follow Me Dark are a refreshing discovery that shouldn’t be ignored.
