Detroit is known for Motown, Jazz, Techno, and don’t forget rock, think of bands like MC5 or Jack White. Metro Detroit is teeming with rock bands and today Musical Monday we featured a band that has a few gigs coming up.
Edison Hollow’s Aaryn Lindow and Tyler Chernoff joined Live In The D host Jason Carr to talk about their band.
Chernoff says Edison Hollow is a rock band from Southgate, Michigan trying to bring the most real rock and roll to their hometown and accurately portray it.
Their latest single is called “What’s So Funny?” and the clip features many of Detroit’s iconic landmarks. It’s fun to watch and see all the familiar sights of Detroit. You can watch the video below.
Lindow says the band released an album at the start of the pandemic and were live streaming their performances. He also says it’s about keeping moving forward and getting the job done one way or another.
Asked about their aesthetic, Lindow says they don’t want to become anything but who they are – best friends on stage having fun. Chernoff says their sound is hard rock and roll music.
Edison Hollow will perform on November 26 at Ghost Light, 2314 Caniff St, Hamtramck, MI 48212.
