Group of seven members Alien Liberty International (ALI) announced on his website that he was returning from his break on Thursday.

The band had taken an indefinite hiatus in May after the arrest and indictment of band drummer Kahadio (real name Kadio Shirai). At the same time, the group’s management terminated its contract with Kahadio. As such, he is no longer a member of the group.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested Kahadio on April 4 on allegations of special fraud. According to investigators, Kahadio received money from ATMs as part of a scam operation.

In recent years, Japanese police have investigated a series of “reimbursement scams”. In these scams, suspects pose as officials and promise government refunds to unsuspecting victims if they withdraw money from ATMs or provide suspects with their ATM cards.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department re-arrested Kahadio later in April on a separate charge of fraud. According to police, Kahadio and his friends called an elderly woman in Osaka on March 3, offering her reimbursement for her medical expenses in exchange for her transfer of 2.31 million yen (approximately US $ 21,000) to a bank account. . Police added that Kahadio was seen withdrawing around 420,000 yen (approximately US $ 4,000) from a convenience store ATM the next day.

After Kahadio’s arrest, the anime changed its opening theme song.

The funk / hip-hop group ALI previously performed the theme songs of the BEASTS, Jujutsu kaisen, and Nobility lively. The group made their major debut in 2019 with the single “Wild Side”, the opening theme song of the first season of BEASTS.
