Rock band Seether to headline Fond du Lac County Fair 2022 on July 22

FOND DU LAC – Let the announcements from the Fond du Lac stand begin.

Seether will take to the Holiday Automotive Grandstand on July 22, organizers announced on Facebook on Tuesday.

After more than 20 years on the American rock scene and the rest of the world, Seether’s eight albums have risen to the top of the Billboard charts. The hit song “Fake It,” for example, stayed at No. 1 on Active Rock for 13 weeks in 2007.

Overall, the group has released three platinum and two gold albums and 17 No. 1 singles, and has amassed more than 2 billion streams worldwide across all platforms, according to the group’s website.

Seether released their official debut album, “Disclaimer,” in 2002, a few years after the band’s initial formation in 1999 in South Africa, according to its website.

Other popular songs over the years alongside “Fake It” include “Country Song,” “Remedy,” and the fan-favorite cover of Wham’s “Careless Whisper.”

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Seether has released “Vicennial: 2 Decades of Seether”, a compilation album of 20 hits, from its first song “Fine Again” to the most recent hit “Dangerous”, from the 2020 album “Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum.”

Band members include frontman Shaun Morgan, as well as Dale Stewart, John Humphrey and Corey Lowery.

Tickets will go on sale Friday on the Fond du Lac County Fair website. Tickets will be available in two tiers: VIP tickets include free general admission lounge parking, two free drinks, and access to the VIP Party Zone; and general admission to the covered grandstand or standing room on the track.

The 2022 Fond du Lac County Fair will run July 20-24. For more information, visit fondduaccountyfair.com.
